Lifesaving Standard First Aid (includes CPR C/AED)

Canadian Occupational Health & Safety recognizes the Lifesaving Society’s First Aid and Resuscitation programs. Our programs satisfy the Saskatchewan Occupational Health & Safety Class A requirements. It also satisfies the requirements for National Lifeguard.
The Lifesaving Standard First Aid course provides comprehensive training covering all aspects of first aid, CPR, and AED. This course satisfies the Occupational Health and Safety requirements in Saskatchewan and in Canada.
Prerequisites: None
Candidate Books: Canadian First Aid Manual (CPR/AED Manual optional)
Taught By: Current Lifesaving First Aid or AEC Instructor
Evaluated By: Current Lifesaving First Aid Examiner or AEC Examiner
Evaluation: This is a pass or fail award. Practical exam; no written exam. Written exams or quizzes may be used as teaching tools, take-home assignments, etc.
Award Recognition: Certification card
Expiry Date: Three years from the date of certification
Recertification: Attend and pass SFA/CPR recertification course and exam (6 to 8 hours)
